APV Results
The Automatic Ply Verification system (APV) verifies ply presence, location, material type and fiber orientation. The verification is done on a ply-by-ply basis to the specified tolerances. The captured results are Pass/Fail analyzed and are easily archived for traceability. A formal report document is available for each part.

The pictures show the internal results, as generated by the APV system. Purple lines represent tolerance, while green and red lines indicate the orientation found. The green line indicates that the result was within tolerance; the red line shows failed orientation.

APV’s ply location function ensures that ply edges conform to the required tolerances. If an edge is not detected passing through the tolerance gates, the HAMPI “APV Fail” indicates that the layup is not within tolerance and must be corrected before the next step can proceed. Physical evidence of correct ply location is automatically generated and archived.
